This Week on Midweek Politics with David Pakman / November 25th, 2009
Total Running Time: 56:19
This Week's Topics:
--Critical emails about Ralph Nader's appearance last week on Midweek Politics.
--Do Midweek Politics listeners listen to conservative talk radio, too?
--Sarah Palin floats Glenn Beck as a possible 2012 running mate, and has long been considered a communist liberal by some in Alaska.
--Sarah Palin's comments about Israel suggest she may have only recently heard about the country's existence.
--NBC shows clearly photoshopped pictures of Sarah Palin on one of their networks, and then says that it took them days to sort it out and to prevent it from happening again.
--Interesting Palin book tour interviews with Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly, including Palin claiming that she is more experienced than both Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
--Tucker Carlson says Palin is more experienced than Obama and smarter than Al Gore.

James Ellroy's, Blood's a Rover was more than eight years in the writing and follows "American Tabloid" and "The Cold Six Thousand" to conclude what is considered Ellroy's "Underworld USA" trilogy, a retelling of recent American history from a frenzied gumshoe's point of view. Here the action picks up in the aftermath of the slayings of Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., moves through the riots that attended the 1968 political conventions in Chicago and Miami, and sweeps into the social-unrest götterdämmerung of the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Today we explore the disappointing omen suggesting that 34 thousand additional U-S troops will soon be deployed to Afghanistan....even though western nations have hardly piled up an impressive track record when it comes to military activity in that particular country. But hey...I guess we just keep trying until we get it right? Or wrong perhaps.
We also hear today from the esteemed British biologist Richard Dawkins...who advocates "militant atheism". He doesn't think religion and science are compatible. Whatever your view...it's not dull stuff.
